Amplifying Appalachia 2023 Edit-a-thon

We invite you to participate in our third annual “Amplifying Appalachia” Edit-a-thon at West Virginia University, in order to develop Wikipedia pages about people, events, and ideas often overlooked but truly important to West Virginia and the rest of the region.
Our Edit-a-thon is focused on amplifying the stories and figures of under-represented Appalachian artists, writers, and other creators, particularly womxn, people of color, and LGBTQ individuals.
This event has both asynchronous and synchronous elements! Anytime during the month of March, you can make edits to related Wikipedia pages at any time that is convenient for you!
Here at West Virginia University, we will hold an in-person editing event, on Thursday, March 30 from 1-5 p.m., on the second floor of the Downtown campus library.
See https://twitter.com/wvuLibraries for live updates during the event!
