The art + feminism African Women in Science and Engineering is targeted at laying the adoption and widespread use of Wikipedia and wikidata among the female engineering Students of the University of Lagos.
Through this project we hope to engage new and existing Wikimedian editors amongst this students equipping them with basic editing and researching skill to enable them make impactful contributions that will bridge the content gap about notable African Women in Science and Engineering on Wikipedia and wikidata, improving and creating this related articles.
The following policy outlines a robust framework for mitigating the spread of COVID-19, prioritizing public health and safety while maintaining essential of this event. It encompasses a combination of preventive measures and effective communication to minimize the impact of the virus on individuals and participants
Public Health Measures:
1.1. Universal Mask Mandate: Implement a mandatory mask-wearing policy in the event , ensuring adherence to proper mask usage guidelines.
1.2. Social Distancing: Encourage individuals to maintain a safe physical distance of at least 1 meter (3 feet) from others during the event .
1.3. Hand Hygiene: Promote frequent handwashing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use alcohol-based hand sanitizers in situations where handwashing is not feasible.
1.4. Respiratory Etiquette: Educate the public on proper coughing and sneezing techniques, emphasizing the use of tissues or elbows to cover the mouth and nose, followed by immediate hand hygiene.
1.5 Risk Communication: Implement clear and consistent communication strategies to educate the participants about the risks associated with COVID-19, preventive measures, and the importance of vaccination.
1.6. Community Engagement: Foster community involvement and partnership through collaborations with local leaders, community organizations, and influencers to disseminate accurate information and encourage compliance with mitigation measures.
