Artexte X Art+Feminism

Artexte Information Centre is working to highlight the work of artists and authors from groups that are underrepresented in Wikipedia, including women, people of colour and people from the LGBTQ+ community, with a Wikipedia Art+Feminism edit-a-thon!
Join us online, on the 27th of May from 12 PM to 1 PM for a communal updating of Wikipedia entries on subjects related to gender, art and feminism.
This gathering will take place during the symposium in connection with the exhibition Blackity and will be an opportunity to explore the questions raised by Dr. Joana Joachim in Blackity, through dialogue with key actors present in this exhibition and research. This event will offer a rich reflection on the past, present and future of contemporary Black Canadian art and its many forms. A keynote presentation, an art+feminism Wikipedia edit-a-thon, a round table, and a poetry reading are all on the agenda.
For more information on the symposium, visit: https://artexte.ca/en/2022/04/blackity-symposium/.
We will provide tutorials for beginner Wikipedians, reference materials and digital documents to help the creation and improvement of articles.
We invite people of all gender identities and expressions to participate.
