Art+Feminism: Wikipedia Edit-a-thon 2022

Help us improve the representation of women and non-binary artists on Wikipedia for International Woman’s Day.

As part of an ongoing collaboration between Asia Art Archive and M+, Art+Feminism: Wikipedia Edit-a-thon 2022 brings participants together to discuss, share, create, and improve Wikipedia articles to address the underrepresentation of art and visual culture in Asia. Organised with assistance from the Wikimedia Community User Group in Hong Kong, this event is part of Art+Feminism—an international initiative that strives to close information gaps related to gender, feminism, and the arts.

This event will be held online via Zoom.

On the Day of the Edit-a-thon:

There will be a thirty-minute English tutorial at the beginning of the event, led by AAA and M+. Our team members will be able to assist Cantonese-speaking participants, and individual Wikipedia how-to sessions will be offered to those in need. Members from the Wikimedia Community User Group Hong Kong will be present to assist with technical questions.

If you are not able to join us on 26 March, you can still contribute anytime between 12nn on 26 March and 11:59pm on 3 April. Our Wikipedia event dashboard will record the contribution of everyone enrolled as an editor.
