There are many females who hold chieftaincy titles in the northern part of Ghan. In fact some of them are even paramount Chiefs. However, there is just a little if there is any information about them on the internet space. This is probably due to the fact that the ethnic groups of people in the northern Ghana practice patrilineal systems and so the assumption may be that females have no roles in the chieftaincy institution in that part of the country. That is however, very wrong. This program seeks to engage participants from the Dagbani Wikimedia Community to identify and/or create/improve wikipedia articles in Dagbani and Wikidata items for these female Chiefs in the northern Ghana on Dagbani wikipedia. There will be hands-on session for Participants to create and/or improve wikipedia articles and Wikidata items of at least 5 female Chiefs from the northern Ghana.
