Join us for “TUSW Feminism and Folklore 2023,” a captivating event that promises a deep dive into the intricate tapestry of gender and tradition within Tanzanian folklore. This event is hosted by the University Students Wikimedians Community in Tanzania as part of the global Wikimedia initiative, bringing together a diverse group of students, scholars, and enthusiasts from across the country.

“TUSW Feminism and Folklore 2023” will explore the rich and diverse folklore of Tanzania, with a special focus on its representation of women and gender roles. Through engaging presentations, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, we aim to uncover how folklore shapes our understanding of gender, and how feminist perspectives can offer fresh insights into traditional narratives.

The event is open to all students from different institutions, however, non-student attendees are required to make prior contact with the C.O.T via email: hello@uswiki.africa to make arrangements.
