Women’s involvement in matters of politics, leadership, and governance is restricted and is relatively a small percentage compared to their male counterparts. This limits the challenges affecting women being well addressed, relevant policies being put in place, and implemented effectively. Addressing the existing information gaps on women’s participation in governance and law-making will encourage more women to come up and strongly contest for political and legislative seats which will give them an opportunity to bring about lasting solutions for the existing problems.
