Community Hours: Wiki interlinking

February 13th, 2023
Online
4:30pm — 5:30pm UTC
Art+Feminism

This Community Hours session is all about Wiki Interlinking! Join Miranda Pratt, former Wikipedian in Residence at the Kansas City Public Library, to learn how to make and teach structural edits on Wikipedia. Participants will learn what Wiki Interlinking is, why it’s an important feminist intervention on Wikipedia, and how to create reciprocal links between pages. The information in this session is based on the research of Isabelle Langrock and Sandra González-Bailón at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, which showcased the successes of feminist interventions on Wikipedia like the work of Art+Feminism and highlighted the importance of Wiki Interlinking in closing gaps on Wikipedia.

This session will be recorded and presented in English. With advance notice, we will do our best to provide language interpretation.
